Currently registering for fall classes!

Downtown Dance offers classes for ages 2 through adults.  We have classes in Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Bollywood, Break Dancing, Yoga, Pilates and Tumbling.

We are conveniently located off of Hwy 92 at 37 Beatty Street, Suite 101 in Hiram.  One block from Hiram City Hall and Hiram Post Office.

Downtown Dance is open Monday through Thursday from 4:30-9:00. 

Children's Classes
For ages 2 and 3 we have a Creative Movement class that is a ballet based curriculum that focuses on developing motor skills and, of course, having fun!

For ages 3-6, we offer a 1 hour combo class which consists of 30 minutes each of tap and ballet.

Around the age of 6 children can begin taking a 1 1/2 hour combo class, which consists of 30 minutes each of tap, ballet, and jazz.

As they progress in their dance education, the class times may increase to a 2 or 3 hour class.  At the teachers recommendation, you child may begin taking Pointe classes.

We also offer Hip Hop classes for ages 5 and up.

Fall classes begin the first week of school and continue through  May.  Students  taking Fall classes participate in the year-end recital.  Throughout the year we also offer 6-8 week sessions of dance and summer camps during  July.  Check the schedule page for the current registration information.

Adult Classes
For the adult student, we offer weekly classes in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Yoga,  and Bollywood.

Founded in 2003 by Lori Rakestraw, our goal in opening Downtown Dance was to provide an organized and positive environment with qualified teachers for children of all ages to learn and appreciate the art of dance.
